SAFE Project was awarded a $20,000 grant for shelter operations from the Mary Kay Foundation in September of 2012.  We are so grateful for this funding, which will directly support survivors of domestic violence. 

Albany County SAFE Project was founded in Laramie in 1980. The mission of SAFE is “to advocate for and support victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, child abuse, and elder abuse and to create social change through education and awareness to end violence.” 

Our confidential services include: a 24-hour hotline, crisis intervention, safety planning, emergency cell phones, medical advocacy, community resource referrals, emergency food and transportation, court escort, assistance with stalking and domestic violence protection orders, emergency shelter, mental health referrals, community education and prevention programs and events. We are not qualified to give legal advice.
